There is still plenty to be gained in terms of sustainability and climate objectives if plate glass waste is collected separately and recycled during demolition and renovation work. Although the Dutch 2012 Building Decree makes it mandatory to dispose of it separately from other demolition waste, only 25 percent of plate glass is actually kept separate.

The Dutch Nitrogen Reduction and Nature Improvement Act came into effect on 1 July 2021. This means that an environmental permit is no longer required if temporary nitrogen emissions occur as a result of demolition projects.

We are one of the construction partners working on the expansion plans at Schiphol Airport. The plans involve the construction of a temporary departure hall and a new pier and terminal and we are proud that the work is proceeding satisfactorily and ‘full steam ahead’!

Since 1 March 2017, asbestos surveying agencies and asbestos removal companies must use the LAVS.

From 2024 onward, private individuals, companies and (government) institutions are no longer permitted to own asbestos roofs.
